In 2007, Portuguese multimedia company YDreams produced a series of installations for the Centro Ciência Viva de Bragança (science centre located in Bragança, a northern Portuguese city).
The main themes of the installations included the Earth’s biosphere and environment, natural phenomenae and the solar system, showcased in this interactive installation – “Planets”.
Stepping on the floor allows the user to travel from Earth to its nearest (and furthest) neighbours.
My job was to produce all sound effects and create a continuously looping electroacoustical piece which functions as a sonic environment for the installation. Listen below:
