Last month, on a rainy day in the city of Porto, I was fortunate enough to be able to attend a festival with artists such as Mogwai, Metá-Metá and The War on Drugs, and also watch an epic Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds concert.
But sometimes, making music also has drawbacks. Because of a very busy weekend I will not be able to see several great musicians that will be playing in Lisbon in the next few days: Nine Inch Nails, Artic Monkeys, The National, Queens of the Stone Age and Pearl Jam (in the Algés area), and also Iron Maiden on the opposite side of the city …
To all who will be able to see these giants live, here’s a piece of advice: enjoy it to the fullest!
For those who will be elsewhere in Portugal (or weren’t able to get tickets): come to Coimbra on Friday, where I’ll be playing with Maria João at the Quebra Jazz festival … Or head to the Casa da Música in Porto on Saturday, or Ferreira do Zêzere on Sunday, and rock out with Alexander Search. As you can see, we’ve got suggestions for all tastes!

No mês passado, num dia chuvoso no Porto, tive a felicidade de conseguir assistir a um festival com actuações de artistas como os Mogwai, Metá-Metá e The War on Drugs…. e ainda um concerto épico de Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.
Mas por vezes, fazer música também tem destas coisas: a minha agenda deste fim de semana não me deixará ver vários grandes músicos que vão passar por Lisboa nos próximos dias – Nine Inch Nails, Artic Monkeys, The National, Queens of the Stone Age e Pearl Jam, em Algés… e Iron Maiden no lado oposto da cidade…
Para todos os que vão ver estes gigantes ao vivo, fica um conselho: aproveitem ao máximo!
Para aqueles que não têm bilhetes ou que estarão noutras paragens: apareçam em Coimbra (sexta), onde estarei a tocar com a Maria João no Quebra Jazz… Ou sigam para a Casa da Música no Porto no sábado (ou Ferreira do Zêzere no domingo) para rockar com os Alexander Search. Como vêem, há programas para todos os gostos!
