CIAV – Museum Soundscape

Last month I collaborated with Artica, an interactive technology and robotics company, providing a soundscape for a new museum project.

Artica developed a series of interactive installations for CIAV – a new museum in Almada (Portugal), dedicated to the cities’ historic legacy.

My job was to create a continual sonic environment that evoked the ambience and sounds of the city’s historical center. This involved a lot of walking and recording sounds particular to that area, and assembling them into a discreet sonic experience that provides an ambience for the museum’s visits.

A technical description of the project can be found here.
